Judge and jury

Oh the wrongs of socially upright, the injustices of the justice system, the corrupt, unscrupulous, immoral, vicious acts of criminals from every facet of life. Criminals come in every shape, size, color, race, religion and age(well not every age-never seen a harden criminal infant!-they’d be so cute:) And the range of crimes is just as plenty but to generalize there is; theft, murder, sex crimes, battery and lying.

Lets start with what many would consider the harshest crime, murder. There are different classes for killing someone. 1st degree, 2nd degree, manslaughter, self-defense. I’m not going to get to specific because I really don’t want to do the research but basically it’s a matter of intent, pre-meditated, accidental or self defense.

The next is sex crimes, ranging from rape to indecent exposure.

Assault and battery, 2 separate charges that usually are filed together. Even the act of verbally treating someone can be criminal, and of course this crime also consist of physically hitting someone.

Theft has a board range of charges, there’s grand theft auto, larceny, corporate theft, embezzlement, insider trading, con jobs, B&E, petty theft, maybe more, I really don’t know.

And lying. Who knew lying could be a crime but it is and here is a few of the ones I know about; perjury, slander, libel, false advertisement, and that’s all I got on that.

Now where does the judge and jury come into play you might be wondering, I’m getting there.

Well over the years many of us have seen criminals getting away with crimes and we’ve seen good people get dragged off to jail or pay hefty fines and I don’t know if you have thought this but I have wondered where in the world is lady justice? How does a good man get prison and a worthless loser get a $200 fine? Now I’m not going to recall every story I’ve ever seen but I will mention 2 stories that just happened this week. First is the then 49yo teacher who raped a 14yo on four separate occasions and got a 31 day jail sentence. Second is 3 (15yo)teenagers who beat a boy(13yo) mercilessly, they initially were to receive only nine months probation, but that was later changed to indefinite probation but no time in a juvenile detention center. Now keep in mind the rapist admitted to his crime and the boys crime was captured on video so these are crimes that are factual and documented as true with evidence. So where is lady justice? Hello lady justice are you sleeping?

Then we have the numerous stories of people who defended their homes by shooting at the intruders and they get arrested! Fortunately those seem to be limited to certain towns and not a national thing, still lunacy though.

Next up the crimes against children. Vile acts to repulsive to even mention but I’m sure you can imagine. Oh like the one mentioned earlier only worse. Yes the people who commit these acts don’t deserve to live another day, yet we waste money on prosecuting and keeping them in prison for the few years they get, only to have them released and do it again. Great legal system. Rape a child serve a year or two, but have a gram of drugs on you and go to jail for 5 years! Brilliant! Who’s the head up their ass genius that came up with that law?

Assault and battery, a brutal crime at times. The most violent thrashings causing broken bones, lost teeth, black eyes, lacerations and bruises, never a pleasant sight to see the victims of such acts. And while no beating is pleasant the beating of anyone who is physically inferior or gang type beatings are particularly disturbing. Anyone who beats someone who is old, a child, pregnant or handicapped should be punished by a cage match with a grizzly bear. See this is where I start to reveal my master plan.

Thieves are diverse in their “art” of theft. And though I’m not happy with thieves having been robbed myself, not all thieves are revolting. But there are certain types of thieves that I would like to see hanging by their ankles from barb wire covered in honey near a fire ant mound. Those particular types of people are the ones who bilk the life savings from the elderly, those that conned the 9/11 survivors, identity thieves. Those people destroy lives, they are not just stealing a replaceable item they are stealing their lives, parasites. Even better, cover them in ticks, fleas and lice, parasites for the parasites!

Killers are nothing special, it takes no talent to kill someone. Most gang bangers drive by in a car shoot up the entire street and check the news for the casualties. No brains, no balls, just bullets. But I’ve seen a rash of vicious killings recently, so brutal, Dr Mengele would cringe. Executing justice on them would be quite easy, tit for tat. That knowledge alone would scare the crap out of the killers.

Now not all criminals would have such harsh punishments after all I do believe in the punishment fitting the crime, and I deem myself worthy of being both judge and jury. Our justice system is a farce, judges can be bought and paid for. Jail is 3 hots and a cot, with smokes, drugs, sex, libraries, a chance for education, health care, and in some places business as usual for the hard core criminals. It’s a joke for career criminals, sure it scares the hell out of regular folks, but for the criminals it’s no big deal. So why waste time, money and resources trying to rehabilitate career criminals, or vile creatures, it’s pointless.

Make me judge and jury and I will decide the fate of all violent, vile and hideous cases. And the normal mundane stuff like getting busted with a gram of pot can be left to the legal eagles. See with me eradicating all the waste of lives there will be more room in the jails for people who urinate in public! Lol. Where is that lady justice?

We the people own this country.

Where do I even start. At the beginning is usually what they say so ill go with that for now. November 2008 the country elected its first black president. He was against GW going to war, he was opposed to the government spying on its people, he was going to bring jobs back to America… He was everything to more than half of America, who were blinded by his charisma and wooed by his cocoa colored skin. A black man as president, truly a wonderful thing. I did not vote for him solely for the politics not because he was black. But I was thrilled that a black man became president. I felt that it was what this nation finally needed to show that blacks can now achieve everything in America. The highest position was now visibly attainable for all ethnicities and races. It was no longer just a white man’s position. And for that reason alone I was thankful he became president.
However it did not take long to see that he was not what he promised to be for those who voted for him. But no one would know any of this until after his re-election. The mainstream media avoided speaking ill of him, always candy coated any bad publicity and did everything they could protect Obama from any fallout. So they are equally to blame when it comes to the state of our nation. But they have already felt the weight of their sins in the form of ratings, which are in the dumps, whereas Fox has been leading for some time now.
Obviously the president isn’t the only one to blame, he has a host of partners in crime who are just as guilty. Feinstein, Clinton, Pelosi, Boehner, Reid, Holder, and the list goes on. After the 2012 election the scandals just blew up with one right after another; Benghazi, fast & furious, NSA, AP news, IRS, Ft Hood, Egypt, Syria, UN gun control. Again I’m sure I missed some, but “what difference does it make?”.
We have a lame fearful congress who seem to be more afraid of being called racist than they are to get a horrible president out of office. The saddest part about Obama is that he has disgraced his own race. By contributing to racial tension and division he has single handedly set the racial divide back in time. When as the leader of this country he could’ve created a union based on law and not division by color he chose the latter. He is not a leader, he is a failure, he is a liar, and he is a race baiter, no better than Sharpton or Jackson.
But what is really frustrating is that people still think he is the best thing that has ever happened to America. All people seem to see is what they can get for free. I don’t know when or how or why, but many years ago it came to me in some fashion that free is not really free, and to be wary of anything that is “free”. About the only thing that is free is salvation but again it’s not really free, because Christ paid the price. Anyhow this free thing is not free. True you may get food, rent, phone and much more for free and you don’t have to pay for any of it while some one else goes to work and pays the taxes so you can have all that stuff for free, but then you are a slave to welfare.
Living off the system as a welfare recipient you are looked down upon in society as a mooch, lazy good-for-nothing loser. Now if you are a honest person who really needs the help because you really have no other option, chances are you will be the one offended by that name. But it’s the ones who take pride in their deception in getting over on the government who could care less about the name calling because that’s exactly what they are, losers. They’ve lost their pride, their determination, their desire to be something more, content with living a hand out not a hand up type life. And those are exactly the types of people leeches like democrats appeal to.
Why work when you can sit at home. Why try hard at school when everyone will pass. We are become a mediocre society that is establishing equality by mediocrity. Those who excel are not being praised or rewarded as much as in the past. Now this hasn’t spread nationally yet, but it is occurring. Some schools have even got rid of the valedictorian speech for graduation and replaced with some under achievers speaking about whatever. Some schools have gotten rid of letter grades and replaced it with a general pass/fail, where almost everyone passes. Where is the motivation to strive for excellence when half-assed will suffice.
What’s next on the agenda, Obamacare, the saving grace for healthcare. It’s a great concept but unrealistic. Who pays for socialized medicine? The people do through taxes. Trust me it is not a wonderful gracious government providing healthcare out of kindness and consideration. No it’s another tax subsidized welfare type government program. And what do we know about said programs? The government is one of the most inefficient program controllers ever. But people want medical coverage, but not only medical coverage because there are free clinics available, no people want quality medical coverage at no cost. Obviously the dumbing down of America is the reason why Americans don’t realize that quality healthcare costs money. And it is a capitalistic medical field that gave us the quality health care we have! So take away that capitalistic model, you inevitably remove the money, remove the money, you remove the quality, thus socialized medicine.
Why don’t people go to free clinics? I know why I don’t go, because I rather pay to be around a better class of people, thus capitalism!
So y’all can talk about equality and fairness and everything else but when push comes to shove we all want the best, only we can’t all have or afford the best. So we must learn to either work for what we want or be content with what we have, or make sacrifices to get what we need. But to believe someone owes you healthcare, or food, or citizenship is selfish. And to believe that the government is going to give you everything is foolish. As many of us are learning, we once thought and believed our government would always look out for our best interests and we would always be a sovereign nation free from tyranny, we are sadly watching our freedoms fade away. They have not been totally removed from our sight yet, and we are holding on to those ancient papers of freedom with all our lives, but we need everyone to realize that our government is corrupt and greedy and they need to be held accountable to we the people at every level and on every decision. This is our country and without the working class there would be no government because we the people pay the salaries of every member of the armed services and every politician and their aides. We the people own this country and we the people want our freedom and country back on our terms!

Please tell me what part of these things don’t matter and do not affect us all.

1) Obama’s whereabouts for 8 hours during Benghazi.
2) Who ordered the “stand down” order to not assist in Benghazi.
3) Obama circumvents his own ACA laws and delays implementation until 2015 for only the businesses.
4) The DOJ finances Trayvon rallies in Fla.
5) Obama orders Eric Holder to investigate himself, Eric Holder.
6) Numerous politicians lie under oath and are not held in contempt or for perjury.
7) Thousands of illegal immigrants are released from DHS detention facilities, some of which are dangerous criminals and nothing is done about it.
8) The WH doors are closed for visitors because lack of funds yet the POTUS and his family still went on 2 vacations aboard at cost to us, as well as held 2 parties at the WH again costs were on us and we hear nothing more about sequestration except when the monies pertain to help Americans.
9) Kerry gave 1.3 billion to Egypt even after he was told not to by the Senate because Egypt failed to comply with the orders to account for the spending.
10) Egypt’s government was overthrown by a coup, but our Egyptian ambassador states it is not a coup so our government can once again circumvent the law the says we can not give monies to a coup, and once again we are going to provide monies to Egypt.
11) Obama states in his 2007/2008 pre election speech he will do away with government spying, but he has double the efforts and is just as guilty as GWB.
12) Rand Paul filibusters against the use of drones on US soil and wants confirmation no such use will happen on US soil, Obama eventually answers with a no, and now we come to find out, drones will be used on US soil.
13) The IRS targeted republican, right wing parties under whose directive.
14) Obama allows the transfer of arms and money to fund AlQaeda in Syria.
15) the AP news phone lines were tapped and our news outlets are being questioned as criminals for releasing leaks by whistleblowers.
16) Obama stated he would sign the UN gun treaty despite objections by the Senate to do so.
17) Obama makes a statement about Trayvon Martin looking like his son if he had one, a racial baiting statement that makes for a very difficult trial.

I’m sure there is more and I’ll add more as I remember.

And seriously the list goes on and on over irrational zero gun tolerance guidelines. For hundreds of years kids have been playing out scenarios with guns, from cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers, and acting like soldiers/army men and these boys grew up without becoming psychopathic homicidal blood thirsty killers!

Contrary to my title I do not actually think “zero gun tolerance” needs to be eradicated, however it certainly needs a massive overhaul. This rule that every and any type or image of a gun or any explosive device is cause for disciplinary action is moronic. How about a realistic set of rules and guidelines which would outline: Disciplinary action for any gun that has the ability to fire a projectile, any material used in making gun powder or explosives, bullets(live or spent). In a situation where a student brings a firearm to school or a extension of school(field trips, buses, away games, etc) and another student may attempt in disarming the student(added because this incident did occur in Fla), the student who was disarming would only be disciplined after statements were taken from witnesses and reviewed to determine whether the student was truly acting for the safety of all present.

Additionally, other exceptions need to be considered. Like the boy who was arrested after realizing he left his rifle in his truck and called his mom to come pick it up. No consideration was given for a young man who tried to do the right thing after he realized the mistake. Same thing for the boy who disarmed the gun toting student. In both these instances they tried to do the right thing and both were penalized. So what would be the lesson learned here?

Well for the first case it shows “never” to talk around a school official, that creates distrust. Secondly it shows to either disregard the rules and try to hide the rifle or to get in your vehicle and leave school premises without authorization. And though you may get in trouble for ditching school you won’t get arrested!(not yet anyway)
The second incident is far more tragic in its potential outcome, which is why I’m sure the boy felt compelled to intervene in the first place. And the lesson learned there is… Let the guy shoot people. Because if you instill this fear of penalization for being even remotely involved in a gun incident, more people will get shot and less people will help!

So people do you want your children and grandchildren to be freaking out at the sight of a gun for fear they will be ostracized and penalized by their educators? Remember these are the people who care for your child 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 10 months a year for 13 years of their most formidable years. If we don’t take a stand now and beat down this policy to a more realistic policy our children may not have the tenacity to strike a fly!

I’m just not cool! And was never hot, but I’m not cold! I’m me!

Evidently I’m not “cool” anymore, like I was ever cool to begin with. Some of my history on here reflects the difficulties in my childhood which lead to poor life choices. And those choices often come at a price which costs you down the road of life. One of such is being viewed as my past self and being compared to the person who I was, but no longer am. I had no regard for any one or anything and I was… dare I say “liberal”. With that came all the indulgences and freedoms from rules, laws, conformity and logic. Live and let live! And evidently to some that current mindset is equivalent to being “cool”.

Many years ago a friend from childhood said to me “why can’t you be the way you used to be?” Implying on some level that I’m not as fun as I was before. I’m not sure if this was my response to her but it may have been because I can’t imagine what else I would’ve said…
“The person I was then did drugs and drank excessively, had no regard for life, mine nor others. You didn’t like when I used drugs or put my life at risk but yet you want THAT person back? You can’t have it both ways I was that person because of the things I did and the way I thought.”

She got the point more or less, but even if she didn’t I wasn’t going back to being that person. Now if you’ve read any of my other posts I don’t hide my Christianity and that is who I am now. A Christian and I’m pretty sure that the people who know me now don’t think I’m entirely boring. You don’t have to be vulgar, snide, condescending or arrogant to be witty or humorous as a matter of fact you will be more respected if you maintain decorum and modesty. Though I’m not quite sure I’ve got the modesty thing down, can you be modest and obtrusive at the same time?

But the most valuable lesson I learned and I still have to remind myself of is… What does God think of me? And am I acting in accord with what He would view as acceptable(except speeding-shhhh)? I said I was Christian NOT perfect!

Now just so I don’t go throwing everyone into some sort of tizzy because I equated being cool with being a liberal, this is what was said of me. So if you are one of the cool people and you are living a righteous life DO NOT be alarmed or offended, it’s ok, it does NOT make you a liberal! Honestly the coolest people are those who are generous, kind, thoughtful, respectful, honest and sincere to name some positive attributes. I guess by my own standards I am cool! Lol, to bad I’m not the one making the rules for the masses!

I did mention I’m not very modest 😛

Btw I’m a conservative to a fault some would say, I say I’m a realist!
As far as the hot and cold, I just put that in the title for whimsy.

Tornado alley, why do people live there?

A valid question to which I would like an honest answer. I’m not being sarcastic and I mean no disrespect in the question, I’m just curious. In California the state of earthquakes, mudslides and forest fires are natural disasters they tolerate in exchange for the coastal view and pleasant year round temperatures. As is the same with New Zealand and Japan. But I can’t think of any similar reasons for Oklahoma or any other parts of tornado alley so I have nothing to weigh the pros vs cons against. That is why I’m asking for your opinions.

Also I have a few questions about building and structure with regards to the building industry to accommodate for tornados. Are there currently any building regulations or knowledge that could be implemented to help offset the amount of damaged sustained from a tornado strike? And if there are building upgrades available are they mandatory for new buildings and can a home be retrofitted to be more tornado “proofed”?

One other thought, not sure if it’s feasible or cost effective but I noticed a lot a cars strewn about in the aftermath and that got me thinking about a possible solution to potential save some cars and save the areas they get thrown into. The first thing is adding 4 “D” type loops to the underside of a vehicles frame, 2 in the front, 2 in the back spaced apart for stability. Next would take some retrofitting or upgrades added to new driveways pads. That would included 4 long “U” shaped bars or something to that affect that would be cemented into 4 small wells (@5″x5″x1′) the top of the “U” would be level with the driveway top so no one would trip over it(and a cover could also be made). So with both the vehicle and driveway being fitted with these “loops” the last thing needed would be 4 heavy duty chains with hooks on each end that would in theory secure the vehicle to the driveway. Anyhow that’s my 2 cents, now for yours 🙂

Update: I posted this on FB to get a few answers and one reply did explain the ferocity of a tornado and the magnitude of damage one could see…
*Because its a beautiful place to live. Tornado alley is the PLAINS; filled with unending vistas, farms, ranches, fields, and good decent folks and communities. Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska – hunting fishing, rivers, creeks, ponds and HUGE lakes (most man made). A great place to be a kid and raise a family. Folks there take this all in stride, it is, was and always will be part of the weather pattern for those that live there.

As for making homes wind resistant, that is a physical impossibility at these speeds and produced forces. An EF5 can literally implode or suck away anything attached to steel and concrete. Plus most window manufacturers already meet criteria for wind driven projectiles reaching 125mph. At some point price point becomes the issue. We are talking about resisting 250 mph shear forces which is 160 pounds per square foot of pressure on each surface which will produce a suction or uplift load exceeding on say a 20×30′ roof of 1,920,000 pounds per square foot. Basically pulling the structure apart. The larger the surface area the larger the loads. Typically we design these loads for say 60 pounds a square foot and less, and that is an excessive load physically to overcome. without significant structure of steel or concrete.

Issues- no problem solving here!

Issues, we all have them to varying degrees. And so many to choose from. Where do I start? Housework- the bane of my existence, I kid you not. Repetition with no end or thanks ever! Idk how anyone finds comfort or satisfaction in doing the same things over and over, day in and day out. It really is monotonous and boring! So this is one of my biggest issues as it is a psychological chore just to mentally convince myself to get it done. And when I’m finally finished I’m both physically and mentally drained and usually in a piss poor mood 🙂

Parenting- I love my kids, not as much as God does but I’m definitely next in line. However they try my patience like no one else. So many issues when it comes to parenting but as I have found out they are nothing new or nothing different. It would seem that every parent has some type of issue or another with at least one of their kids at one time or another. Fortunately my children are very understanding when I need them to be, and when I’m not suffering with a migraine or PMS they antagonize the heck out of me! But I still love my children 🙂

Politics- a recent issue, since shortly before Obamas 2nd election I became strangely preoccupied with wanting to know about politics, government and current events. After a tragic loss which lead to his 2nd term my fervor for politics exploded. I would spend all day learning, reading and researching everything I could about that state of our country. For 6-8 months I have been consumed by politics, current events and world news, so much so that it started bringing me down. Now I’m at a crossroad do I continue to know about the political state of our country when everything put there is more depressing and worse each day that passes, or do I ignore the looming demise stick my head in the sand and deal with the fall out after it happens? Yeah well your guess is as good as mine, lol 🙂

Growing old- yes I have an issue with growing old! My issue is I don’t like having to maintain or work at staying healthy, young and fit! I want the days where I could eat and be thin, not eat and not get a headache. Not stretch or exercise and still be flexible and bend down without pulling something! And lets not forget about my hearing and eyesight were perfect! Now I’m overweight, wear glasses to see far away, have trouble hearing, get weird aches and pains and if I was so inclined I could or should exercise to stay limber and get rid of some of these weird creaky joint sounds I have 🙂

My superego- idk why but I always seem to be reflecting on what I said, and then beat myself up for what I said, then I have to talk myself out of depression from being so critical of myself. Next comes an irrational decision to never talk to people again only to find myself doing the same thing over again. My only solace in this vicious circle is God. At times I have to remind myself that if I’m in the presence of Christians and they abide by the same rules I do “judge not, lest thee be judged” then I’m safe and at peace. However I’m quick to remind myself that I STILL need to control my tongue 🙂
