Zero gun tolerance needs to be eradicated!

First let me post some actual stories from news sources which relate to ridiculous “zero gun tolerance” rules implemented in schools across our country.

And seriously the list goes on and on over irrational zero gun tolerance guidelines. For hundreds of years kids have been playing out scenarios with guns, from cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers, and acting like soldiers/army men and these boys grew up without becoming psychopathic homicidal blood thirsty killers!

Contrary to my title I do not actually think “zero gun tolerance” needs to be eradicated, however it certainly needs a massive overhaul. This rule that every and any type or image of a gun or any explosive device is cause for disciplinary action is moronic. How about a realistic set of rules and guidelines which would outline: Disciplinary action for any gun that has the ability to fire a projectile, any material used in making gun powder or explosives, bullets(live or spent). In a situation where a student brings a firearm to school or a extension of school(field trips, buses, away games, etc) and another student may attempt in disarming the student(added because this incident did occur in Fla), the student who was disarming would only be disciplined after statements were taken from witnesses and reviewed to determine whether the student was truly acting for the safety of all present.

Additionally, other exceptions need to be considered. Like the boy who was arrested after realizing he left his rifle in his truck and called his mom to come pick it up. No consideration was given for a young man who tried to do the right thing after he realized the mistake. Same thing for the boy who disarmed the gun toting student. In both these instances they tried to do the right thing and both were penalized. So what would be the lesson learned here?

Well for the first case it shows “never” to talk around a school official, that creates distrust. Secondly it shows to either disregard the rules and try to hide the rifle or to get in your vehicle and leave school premises without authorization. And though you may get in trouble for ditching school you won’t get arrested!(not yet anyway)
The second incident is far more tragic in its potential outcome, which is why I’m sure the boy felt compelled to intervene in the first place. And the lesson learned there is… Let the guy shoot people. Because if you instill this fear of penalization for being even remotely involved in a gun incident, more people will get shot and less people will help!

So people do you want your children and grandchildren to be freaking out at the sight of a gun for fear they will be ostracized and penalized by their educators? Remember these are the people who care for your child 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 10 months a year for 13 years of their most formidable years. If we don’t take a stand now and beat down this policy to a more realistic policy our children may not have the tenacity to strike a fly!

The Obama Quandary!

So I think I may have a solution to my present quandary over Obama. In a desperate search on what to do and how to process the state of our national affairs and to keep within my Christian beliefs which I try to adhere to the Bible as the foundation for answers and clues for many things, I’ve found a number of passages which I believe hold the answer.

1) 1Timothy 2:1-4
…first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

The first step I see is prayer, praying for those who are in authority over us. It says we should pray be thankful so peace and calm may reign, with godliness and holiness… The end result being salvation for all who believe.

2) Romans 13:1-7
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities… established by God… whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted… rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right… the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer… submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience… also… pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give… what you owe… If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

3) 1Peter 2:13-17
Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

What follows next in these 2 passages is submitting to authority and this will serve you well if you believe that Obama or any ruler is in power because of God, I however do not subscribe to that belief. And view our current administration as more of an enemy intent on destroying our nation. So I continued on in search of more scriptures.

4) Matthew 5:43-48
“You have heard… ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

5) Luke 6:27,28
“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

6) Proverbs 16:7
When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Now in complete honesty my intention was to “heap coals” upon the administrations head.
However the verse, Proverbs 25:21,22
“If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;
For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you.”,
didn’t really make sense in regards to an entire governmental entity. I mean I certainly am not going to feed and provide drinks for everyone in the Obama admin, besides Obama has a food taster so idk how he’d even be affected!
So I tossed that one aside and looked for others on praying for enemies and the above 3 are what I found.

7) Proverbs 24:17
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;

This will be the hardest to abide by, maybe, if somehow if only by the grace of God our country miraculously recovers, socially, economically, environmentally, democratically, historically and any other “lly” that’s relevant, I will be jubilant. But not to hopeful in that. I guess the more realistic outcome will be Obama falls flat on his face and our nation is ruined on every “lly”, I’m not quite sure I’ll be rejoicing if that’s what his fall brings! Only time will tell.

My conclusion is thus… If I trust in God, then I must trust in God. Whether Obama is in power established by God or not, I’m still instructed to pray for those in authority and remain faithful to God. And since I view the Obama admin and the majority of democrats in Congress as enemies destroying our nation, or so it seems to me, again I’m instructed to pray for my enemies.

Condemnation is much easier than praying for those you oppose, but my trust in God is my strength and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Yes even pray for Obama and the democrats in power to be influenced by God to put our Nation back on the track to prosperity and re establish our national mantra of “in God we trust”.

Radical division

Because of the tension in the nation with division on political affiliation, gay marriage, gun rights, illegal immigration and whatever else I may have missed, it seems that both sides of the arguments are becoming more opposed and entrenched in their views with such vigor as to not even consider what the other side has got to say. And I for one have begun to think that way. Which is precisely why I am writing this.

We are all entitled to our own beliefs and lifestyles, within reason. And this nation affords us that freedom almost limitlessly. But what I see almost daily from both sides of every issue I mentioned and a few others is a narrow-mindedness, egocentric, self-serving attitude that does not even listen let alone consider another persons stand. When I comment on different threads I usually try to stay on topic, factual and fair while still maintaining my stand and not resort to name calling because someone objects to my belief. But with constant exposure to this type of behavior from oppositionist who usually do not conduct themselves with the same considerations as I try to maintain, I find myself becoming hateful to groups and issues I have no true ill will against. These are extremists fueling the divisive fires with such inflammatory lies, name calling, etc… vile trolls they are. And I am a victim of their hateful rhetoric no longer.

For my hope remains in Christ not in man, as I believe it should be with all men(humans). But my goal here is not to turn everyone to Christ but hopefully to establish middle ground on some very sensitive subjects. I will start with “gay marriage/same sex marriage”. The word “marriage” is viewed by almost every(if not every) civilization as a union of a “man” to a “woman” made official by coitus when the female has come of age(for those civilizations). Whether or not it is or is not a religious union is not the subject entirely, because not every man and woman joined in marriage are religious or even accept God. But historically speaking on the whole from ancient books of law, and stories, archaeological finds, historical accounts and general global acceptance and knowledge of marriage is the union of a man and a woman. Now is that to say that no homosexual marriage has ever existed, no, but to declare that marriage by law should expand its definition to include the union of homosexuals regardless of the fact that most religions view homosexuality as sinful is just as narrow-minded and self-serving as those you accuse the same of.

Semantics always seems to play a major role in issues like these so I’m trying to by mindful of my words, so what I’ve heard is gays want equal rights to be treated the same as “same-sex” or have the same benefits as same-sex marriages. And I personally have no qualms about those requests, they are fair and valid. But if the biggest issue is the word “marriage” and wanting a “marriage” license and not a “civil union” license, then it seems no agreement will ever be reached without dissension from one side or another. Now obviously I’m not gay so I can’t really speak for the importance or need of the word marriage in lieu “civil union” but what I see to be the most important part of this issue would be the legal recognition of a “civil union” which affords the same benefits as a marriage in regards to spousal benefits, taxes, estate death benefits, SS benefits, etc.

In short a “civil union” allowing gays to marry without changing the word “marriage” adding in “civil union” for legal purposes, would allow gays same marriage benefits and at the same time appease the religious communities, securing and respecting their views on the sanctity of “marriage”, thereby ,in my opinion, satisfying the majority from both sides. Because I doubt you could ever get everyone to agree on all things.

Gun control, rights, limits and everything else it includes is another subject where the divide is great especially by those who have guns vs those who have lost a loved one or have been injured from a gun crime. Most parents who have lost a child to a gun are adamantly opposed to the current gun availability in our nation, which is understandable if you look at how easy it is to kill someone from afar with a gun or how many people you can kill with a gun in a limited amount of time. But what it doesn’t show is who are the majority of gun murder victims. It is not innocent kids, as a matter of fact the majority of murderers of children ages 5 and younger are their parents(67%)followed by a male friend of the family(23%)then other relatives(7%)with the last and least by a stranger(3%). Also more than half of the gun deaths listed yearly are self-inflicted suicides, which are included in the gun death numbers thus creating a preconceived idea that gun deaths lead in violent deaths. But death by poisons and bludgeoning(don’t have the stabbing stats) out number gun deaths(no suicides by bludgeoning). Just a few more facts on death numbers 2011 drugs 40,239; motor vehicle 26,256; alcohol 34,677; guns 32,163 of which 19,766 were self-inflicted bringing the number to 12,397gun deaths. Included in that number are accidental and law enforcement related shootings.
So before you take away anyone’s right to bear and keep arms, try convincing your local and federal LEOs and politicians to enforce current laws and make criminal punishment something criminals fear, not laugh at! Then and only then when the punishment befits the crime and criminals fear punishment: I’m hoping for hangings, drawn and quartered, cutting off fingers, etc., if crime still exists I will be open to reviewing a gun control bill as I’m sure most would agree.

Gun control

Assault Weapons Ban of 2013

What the bill does:

Bans the sale, transfer, manufacturing and importation of:

All semiautomatic rifles…
All semiautomatic pistols…
All semiautomatic rifles and handguns that have a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
All semiautomatic shotguns… or shotgun with a revolving cylinder.
All magazine feeding devices capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.
157 specifically-named firearms (can be found on Feinsteins website)

The legislation excludes the following weapons from the bill:

Any weapon that is lawfully possessed at the date of the bill’s enactment;
Any firearm manually operated by a bolt, pump, lever or slide action;
Assault weapons used by military, law enforcement, and retired law enforcement; and
Antique weapons.

The legislation protects hunting and sporting firearms:

The bill excludes 2,258 legitimate hunting and sporting rifles and shotguns by specific make and model.

The legislation strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and state bans by:

Moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test.
The bill also makes the ban harder to evade by eliminating the easy-to-remove bayonet mounts and flash suppressors from the characteristics test.
Banning dangerous aftermarket modifications and workarounds.
Bump or slide fire stocks, which are modified stocks that enable semi-automatic weapons to fire at rates similar to fully automatic machine guns.
So-called “bullet buttons” that allow the rapid replacement of ammunition magazines, frequently used as a workaround to prohibitions on detachable magazines.
Thumbhole stocks, a type of stock that was created as a workaround to avoid prohibitions on pistol grips.
Adding a ban on the importation of assault weapons and large-capacity magazines.
Eliminating the 10-year sunset that allowed the original federal ban to expire.

The legislation addresses the millions of assault weapons and large-capacity magazines currently in existence by:

Requiring a background check on all sales or transfers of a grandfathered assault weapon.
This background check can be run through the FBI or, if a state chooses, initiated with a state agency, as with the existing background check system.
Prohibiting the sale or transfer of large-capacity ammunition feeding devices lawfully possessed on the date of enactment of the bill.
Allowing states and localities to use federal Byrne JAG grant funds to conduct a voluntary buy-back program for grandfathered assault weapons and large-capacity ammunition feeding devices.
Imposing a safe storage requirement for grandfathered firearms, to keep them away from prohibited persons.
Requiring that assault weapons and large-capacity ammunition feeding devices manufactured after the date of the bill’s enactment be engraved with the serial number and date of manufacture of the weapon.

Now what this fails to (do):

Keep these weapons away from criminals.
Make criminals fill out a background check form.
Protect law abiding citizens from well armed criminals.
Allow citizens from being well armed against a possible tyrannical government overthrow, one that wants to control every aspect of its citizens; education, gun possession, freedom of speech, taxation and government spending without regard to the usefulness of the program being funded, federal employees having better healthcare and retirement options while our future seniors may not have SS.

Many of our founding fathers and others over the centuries many have spoken in favor and knew the importance of the people being able to have weapons comparable to the government (armed forces). And in numerous countries over the years nationals who have had their arms removed became subject to government overthrow and death.

If you think that this can not happen here you are mistaken. The holocaust did not happen overnight it progressed over nearly 10 years before people knew that Jews were being exterminated, along with the Polish, the Russians, the infirmed, handicapped, etc…

Indoctrination has already begun and is progressing under our noses. Children are being suspended for gun images, toy guns, finger guns, imaginary guns, disarming a student with a gun because they were part of a “gun” situation!(all real & verifiable).

Now I like to think like a criminal at times(too many episodes of Criminal Minds maybe) and I see numerous ways around the laws here.
First: limited magazine in which they state a criminal will only get off X amount of shots before needing to reload, which gives the police time to retaliate . Well obviously Feinstein does not watch Hollywood movies! Simply bring more guns, that’s assuming you are a law abiding citizen up until the point where you decide to go on a psycho shooting spree, and you’ve only purchased the allowable items. Lol.
Second, unless the first amendment comes under attack and I’m sure it will, there are innumerable websites and books which show people how to build guns, modify guns, make ammo, bombs, poison, etc… so yeah, criminals will just get craftier.
Third: black market gun sales will go through the roof and the economy will suffer greatly, because the money will not be taxed but I’m quite sure sales will not stop.

Besides what part of criminal do these libs not understand? This ban if passed will do the same thing photo traffic tickets and photo red light running tickets did, make criminals out of normally law abiding citizens. Congratulations!

If they really want to stop gun crimes how about tougher more severe penalties, not more jail time, there needs to be corporeal punishment befitting the crime.
To give some examples leading with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th offense:

Theft- cut off 1 finger, cut off 2nd finger, cut off hand, death.
Rape- cut off testicles, cut off hand or johnson, cut off hand or johnson, death.
Murder- removal of 1 organ to be used for donor transplant(kidney, liver, skin graph), removal of another organ, removal of another organ, death.
Child abuse(sexual in nature)- torture, death.
Child abuse(physical in nature)- torture, torture, death.
All carry jail time as well, and any physical or financial difficulties arising from the corporeal punishment can not be held against the people, government, state or anyone. And the individual is also forbidden from any and all government subsidy equal to amount of years in prison, once released.
The corporeal punishment would not take affect until a person reaches the age of 25 unless the person’s first offense has more than one charge of the same crime.

Well that’s my thought on the matter.

Liberal vs conservative views

Ok I’m not even going to bother verifying anything I put in here, I’m just going to run off at the mouth. At this time in our nation our country is so divided liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, right wing, left wing, poor, rich, I’d say black, white but that is one area I see that is blending on the political front.

There are so many issues on the political front: sequester, debt, unemployment, welfare, education, military spending, Afghanistan war, N. Korea, China’s cyber attacks, Affordable Care Act(Obamacare), gun control, illegal immigration, media bias, Benghazi, WH caught in lie after lie, drone program on US soil, border protection, WH tours cancelled(2 lies there), ICE releasing 2,200+ illegal criminal detainees, still no WH budget in 4 years, legalized marijuana, gay marriages… That’s all I can think of at the moment. And for some unknown reason for myself the divide on the subjects is great. The right and left can’t reach a middle ground, don’t want to reach a middle ground or have given up on a middle ground.

Now that is a stretch in the truth at least for a limited number of politicians who truly are trying to reach agreements and find truths. However, what I see in the general populous is liberals who see every piece of factual information coming out on Fox(one of the few networks willing to take on the Obamanation) news as conservative lies, even when confronted by government links with the same info. Whatever! Morons! Whatever Obama feeds them the eat it up like it was God himself speaking to them.

Are the republicans faultless? No, not be any means, but they are not the only guilty party here(don’t try to convince any lib of that, they’ll have none of it). And what does happen when you show a lib some facts? Name calling! Yes, I’m a racist, bigot, homophobic, uninformed, brainwashed conservative. Yup! That’s me. However for those who don’t know me about the only part of that statement that’s true is the conservative part, even so I’d consider myself a liberal conservative- a realist if you would!

Well that’s not getting us anywhere, I’m supposed to be speaking about opposing views.
Gun control- libs for rifle bans and limited 10 round clips, cons against, middle ground none in sight.
The solution has nothing to do with guns, it has to do with implementing the laws we have now! Stop being so soft on criminals, but I don’t think any nanny lib is going to violate some repeat criminals human rights… blah, blah, blah. Just clueless! The criminals have no consideration for their victims yet the human rights activists must make sure the criminals are treated humanely… Ugh!

Illegal immigration- amnesty-libs, honestly I’m not quite sure what the reps what done here- many different thoughts, but definitely not amnesty!
Solution- send them back where they belong, especially the ones with criminal records. Why is it even a problem or second thought when they break other laws on top of illegal entry? If a illegal immigrant gets caught drunk driving or stealing or raping, I find it pointless to incarcerate them here, just ship them off, no trial just a big red “NO ENTRY ALLOWED, INDEFINITELY” on their name.
As far as the hard working illegals(because there are plenty-and I rather trade them for some lazy a$$ Americans- but we can’t do that), have some kind of sponsorship available. I’m sure there are people or businesses that have employees illegals, if those people would “sponsor” those illegals, pay taxes and continue to employee those illegal immigrants until their paperwork goes through, that sounds like a logical reasonable pathway to me.

Obamacare- libs all for socialize medicine, reps some are open to others are smarter and want no part of it.
Truth is it is a hot mess. Over 20,000 pages that no one has ever read, well not one person. Many have read various parts. It is not the social reform people are expecting, and I’ll leave it at that.

Not entirely done but done for today.

It’s the end of the world as we know it, but I feel fine!

Putting some scripture here to keep me on the right track while I feel a sense of doom looming over our nation. Sadly, I forget to keep my eyes on Jesus, but thankfully He always manages to get me back on track.

Matthew 10:16-20
“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves… be as shrewd as snakes… innocent as doves. Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils… flogged in the synagogues. On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
26-27, 31
“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul… So don’t be afraid…
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

Luke 21:8-11
“Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them. When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”… “Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom… great earthquakes, famines, pestilences… fearful events and great signs from heaven.
“But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you… hand you over to synagogues, put you in prison… brought before kings and governors… all on account of my name. And so you will bear testimony to me… make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. Everyone will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. Stand firm, and you will win life.
“When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies… desolation is near… those… in Judea flee to the mountains… those in the city get out… those in the country not enter the city… this is the time of punishment… great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25-28, 31
“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”… when you see these things… know that the kingdom of God is near.
“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day… will come on all those who live on… earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

John 15:10, 12, 14-17
“If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love… My command… Love each other as I have loved you… You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you… This is my command: Love each other.
18-21, 24-25
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own… you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you… If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me… they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father… to fulfill… their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’

2 Timothy 3:1-5
… There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
They… worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth… men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived… but… continue in what you have learned and… convinced of… from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness… thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I did shorten the verses, but the message remains the same: that the end is near, we will be hated, we will be abused, we are to keep our faith, know our scripture, remain true to our Savior, and He is triumphant.

Everyday I have been subjecting myself to news from around the world, for about 3-6 months on and off. My outlook has changed for the worse since the autumn of 2012. On the global scale, life to me has never seemed so dismal, it just may be nothing more than the advances in technology where we now know all the world’s issue in a flash, and life has always been this wretched.

However, in a nation that was founded by men looking for religious freedom over 200 years fought and won that freedom, by law granting that inalienable right of religious freedom. Christians who did not want to be persecuted by the church and taxed and enslaved by an oppressive government, would be mortified as to the state of their beloved country. Their own country where Christians are being mocked and brow-beaten because of their close minded views on Gods own words. Constantly being questioned about the validity and veracity of the Bible, condemning it as nothing more then a good moral story to keep man in tow.

Our moral fabric has been rent, global economy is out of control, anyway I’m not going to list everything that’s out of whack, because y’all should know it already. So though I shall continue to stay informed of global news, I will bear in mind that God is ultimately in control no matter what the condition of the planet is in.

Learning, Dems vs. Reps

Well as some of you may know I’m not very politically correct. Nor am I even politically versed. Up until about 6 months, I didn’t know anything about the government aside from what I learned up and through middle school. Which really was not much. But really I had no desire or reason to know, so I thought. Life was plodding along, same old same. Then like a ton of bricks being dropped on my head an overwhelming sense of doom started looming over our nation. And here I was clueless as to how politics work(honestly, I still am-but I do know a lot more than I did).

So I needed to educate myself some what. I read the Bill of Rights, history of the very first settlers who came to find gold like the Spaniards through immigrated indentured servants to the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, salaries and employees of our elected officials and WH employees, budgets and numbers for the past 20 years, the slow but constant progression of our nations debt, the expansion of our governments agendas, and how we essentially are becoming the nation our founding fathers fought a war to separate themselves from. For as much as I never thought history was important, I now know I was eerily and totally wrong. For history contains valuable evidence to reveal the mistakes repeated throughout time. But for just as much as my ignorance of history is detrimental for myself, our nations power, greed and ego will be our ruin.

Though I agree capitalism is the foundation for a good economy, so is moderation. In a country where entertainers make more money than our educators, military, law enforcers, and yes even our politicians… To me seems very skewed. Now I know that’s not going to change, that’s free enterprise, and that’s the price we seem willing to pay. And unless we stop going to concerts, movies, and sports games they will continue to receive million dollar deals. But that’s not the main problem as I see it. The main problem seems to be how our president wants to equalize Americans.
I don’t mean equality, we are all humans and our physical differences do not warrant inequality. However, willingness to work, intelligence, ability and the like are factors that do make us unequal in regards to pay and the jobs we can do.

Let me ask you this… Do you really think that a person who takes your order at some fast-food chain should make the same as a teacher? I want an honest answer and your reason. Because that is where our fearless leader is leading us to, a socialized society where everyone deserves to have the same benefits as everyone else. I digressed, let me get back on point.

Next on my list was learning the difference between a democrat and a republican. And clearly I am a republican, here are the reasons I based my decision on:

*Abortion- against partial birth abortion(fetus up to 20weeks).
*Death penalty- for.
*Free enterprise- for. I don’t want the government regulating our economy.
*Affirmative action- against, but strongly in favor of EOE and heavily fining discrimination!
*Public school vs school vouchers- this is a difficult one solely for the fact that the dems were in favor of raising teachers salaries and lowering class sizes(both of which I’m for). Undecided, leaning towards dems.
*Embryonic stem cell research- creepy, but I guess what else are you going to do with all those democrat approved aborted fetus’! The republicans prefer Adult stem and umbilical cord cells, and with much better research results.
*Energy- though I am in favor of green energy, I am not keen on the government controlling our gas and electric companies. Nor do I think it’s the government job to fund green energy, based on the fact that numerous researches and hundreds of billions of US $ has been spent with very little advances in green energy. So sticking by the reps with let’s drill our own land for oil.
*Euthanasia- again on the cusp here, but I’m going to say against. Mainly because I foresee numerous problems if this became legal. Legalized murder is tricky stuff!
*Global warming- spend money to reduce carbon emissions, do not have enough information to be for or against. Neutral.
*Gun control- against. It’s been said a million times already… Criminals do not follow the laws.
Banning certain arms will only prevent law-abiding citizens from having them.
*Healthcare- against a socialize structure. I did a preliminary review of the worlds top healthcare systems and they are in the countries with some of the highest tax rates. Ours was not ranked that high, but neither are our taxes, comparatively speaking.
*Homeland security- for. Sorry if this offends anyone, but right now almost every day around the world Islam extremist cells are being found. If white middle aged women started bombing foreign countries, and I visited and was detained because I fit that “look”, I would not be happy but I’d understand.
*Immigration amnesty- against. It is a financial waste and drain, it nullifies the immigration laws we currently have, a spit in the face to every immigrant who went through the legal process. And we are one of the few(because I’ve yet to find out which other country does, but I’m sure there has to be at least one other) countries that allows immigrants to work, live, receive welfare and buy land without being a citizen, let alone being an illegal immigrant!
*Private property, eminent domain- against.
*Separation of church and state- against. In regards to displaying religious imagery or icons in government buildings or grounds.
*Gay marriage- against. Solely stated as such. Marriage is an institution created by God. After He created Eve He said “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” And later Paul says “since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband”.
However being the liberal conservative I am… A gay legal union is fine with me. I think any committed couple should be entitled to the same benefits whether gay or straight, only if both parties are of human origin!
*Social security- something needs to be done, clueless as to what!
*Taxes- against. No I do not think the rich have to be taxed to the teeth to care for the poor. They should be taxed without loopholes, this I agree.
*United Nations- agree with the reps. The UN isn’t the end all be all of everything. So sometimes we need to over step our boundaries. And N. Korea just may be one of those examples, where we may need to ignore the UN.
*War/Terrorism- agree with the reps. Diplomacy does not work with terrorists and terrorists should by tried in military courts not civilian courts. Terrorism is a war not a civil disturbance(it’s not citizen against citizen). And I agree with torturing terrorists! To bad so sad! Guess what, it happens in every country, get over it.
*Welfare- only in the way it was supposed to be used. As far as the dems view to use as a lifetime entitlement-hell to the NO! As a stepping stone to assist through difficult times, absolutely.

Another tidbit of info on the parties… Never knew that it was the reps that were against slavery! Yup they left the Democratic Party to form the republic party. And in the beginning the dems were very pro “Constitution”. What happened? Idk?! Obviously many changes over the years, and I can’t say as a nation we’re any better for it. Yes, abolished slavery, end of segregation, equal rights, women voting all great strides in our country in regards to freedom, but where did it go astray?

Since when did being a democrat entitle one to earn a days pay on someone else’s back?
The republican’s mentality is “self-reliance”. You work, save, earn and learn your way to success. No one has the right to anything if they have the ability to accomplish it on their own.
I tend to be digressing again. So I shall stop and I’ll have to do a separate op-ed on welfare.
